Nokomis Chapter History
Charted in 1963, in addition to providing professional development opportunities for our members, we organize fundraisers to provide educational scholarships and grants for local women.
An ABWA chapter environment provides a supportive, non-threatening atmosphere where new ideas, styles and methods can be tried and
perfected.
Chapter meetings offer leadership opportunities for members through program presentations as well as interaction and participation. Monthly and special programs increase our member’ business skills and tie our programs in with community awareness.
Nokomis Chapter’s Executive Board consists of elected positions: president, vice-president, treasurer and secretary. The Nokomis Chapter also has committees including Professional Development, Fund-Raising, Membership, Newsletter, Program and Publicity. Participation is voluntary , however, it provides an excellent opportunity of hands-on leadership experience for ABWA members.
