Professional development and personal growth are key components to membership in ABWA.Here are just a few ways that the organization offers to assist in each members' goals.
IN Magazine
Women IN Business is an ABWA bi-monthly publication offering professional, business related articles, the latest news and current offerings.
Business Skills Reimbursement Program
Courses taken for professional development, which are not towards a credited degree, may be eligible for reimbursement. This program is administered through SBMEF (Stephen Bufton Memorial Educational Fund). Members simply turn in receipts to the chapter.
Scholarships and Grants
Nokomis Charter Chapter raises money and donates to the SBMEF (Stephen Bufton Memorial Educational Fund). This allows Nokomis to offer a Special Scholarship of $2,000 and/or an Outright Grant of $1,500 to area women who are working towards an university degree.
CE Credits
Quizzes -Continuing education credits may be earned through ABWA when you participate in ABWA conferences and take bi-monthly quizzes in the Women IN Business Magazine.
WIN -Women's Instructional Network is an online program offering courses in over 25 different topics.
Conferences - Attendance at any of the District are tracked for CE credit.
